The French Embassy in Denmark is located in the Thott Palace, a remarkable 17th century historical building on Kongens Nytorv, in the heart of Copenhagen. The palace has housed the embassy for a century, and has since its origins been a symbol of the strong ties between France and Denmark. All year round, the Embassy opens its doors to the public on the occasion of various cultural events and has showcased French designers as part of 3daysofdesign every year since the festival began. Institut français is the French cultural center in Denmark, and also functions as the French Embassy's cultural department. The institute's mission is to promote French culture, language and research to the Danish public.

Throughout history, tools have been crucial to humanity’s ability to survive and innovate, from primitive stone tools to advanced machinery, tools have been key to shaping the world. VÆRKTØJ is an exhibition format that aims to communicate and demonstrate how the identities of designers are largely shaped by the tools they use; as tools not only drive the development of ideas and creative processes but also leave a distinct mark on the final product.

At 3daysofdesign 2026, Warm Nordic continues The Mid–Modern Reunion—now in its second chapter, in collaboration with especially acclaimed Maharam—a leading creator of textiles and part of the MillerKnoll collective. During the golden age of design, Hans Olsen, Ray Eames, Alexander Girard and Verner Panton each shaped the world of modernist living. For the second time, their work is united through form and fabric. Olsen's iconic pieces: the Fried Egg collection, the Gesture Chairs, Mr. Olsen Sofa and the Orange Chair—dressed in unique Maharam textiles from the same Mid Modern era of design. Born at 3daysofdesign 2025, the tribute to a defining era in design history now enters chapter II.

Postbyen, Copenhagen’s new urban district, is hosting events and exhibitions during 3daysofdesign. Once the hub of Denmark’s postal system, this historic site was transformed by Danica Ejendomme from an industrial area into a vibrant neighbourhood blending bold architecture with historical buildings. During 3daysofdesign, Postbyen will mark its official opening with a variety of events, including Jeppe Hein’s water sculpture, “Something between us.” Visitors are invited to engage with the artwork and each other, embodying Postbyen’s vision of a welcoming space for all. As the sun sets over the railways, Postbyen is where people come together to share everyday moments and connect in simple, meaningful ways.
