Patch Design
Patch Design presents an exhibition of art–furniture that merges 3D printing with hand–weaving, transforming recycled ocean plastics into contemporary design. Inspired by coastal fishing communities, each piece reflects traditional net–mending techniques while promoting sustainability. Featuring intricate woven structures and bio–based materials, the exhibition highlights the coexistence of craftsmanship and technology. A live weaving performance and designer talk during the opening will demonstrate repair methods used by fishermen, reinterpreted in furniture design. Visitors are invited to explore the connection between heritage, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
