MÆRK is a Copenhagen–based curatorial platform that examines contemporary design through material, tactility and form. Initiated by designer and curator Rikke Hagen, it brings together Danish and international designers in a non–commercial exhibition format. The platform highlights material understanding, sensory qualities and spatial context as central drivers in design practice, positioning the exhibition format as a critical and communicative framework.

Presented during 3daysofdesign, MÆRK is a curated exhibition exploring how contemporary designers work with material as a starting point. Process, techniques and sensory qualities are brought forward alongside the final works, framing design as a dialogue between matter, perception and use. Set within Kvindernes Bygning and Hotel Cecil, the exhibition offers a focused view on material–driven practices across furniture and spatial design. For 3daysofdesign, Chylak presents a series of site–specific works in bobbin lace, developed for the Copenhagen flagship store Baum und Pferdgarten. Rooted in a shared cultural narrative between Copenhagen and Warsaw, the works draw on the story of Bertel Thorvaldsen’s monument to Józef Poniatowski and its journey across time and place. At the centre of the exhibition is the horse motif, reinterpreted through delicate lace into a light, almost transparent structure bridging history, craftsmanship, and contemporary fashion. Installed in dialogue with the space, the works form a subtle “lace entrance,” creating a layered, immersive environment.

ANDREA TSANG is a Stockholm–based design studio creating objects defined by sculptural restraint, tactile presence, and quiet atmosphere. Rooted in ceramics handcrafted in the studio’s Stockholm workshop, the practice explores how objects occupy space and participate in everyday rituals. Each piece is designed to bring balance, rhythm, and material presence to the home. Founded by Andrea Tsang after a decade in fashion design, the studio reflects her journey between Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Stockholm—combining sensitivity to material, refined craftsmanship, and a disciplined design language. In 2024, the brand opened its first showroom in central Stockholm, an intimate environment where objects and atmosphere can be experienced together.
