Gabriella Mozo’s inspiration stems from a diverse apparel design background, honed through more than a decade of experience in both New York and LA. This creative journey led to a transition into the realm of product and furniture design, prompted by a move to Milan in 2022, where she is now based. Through a deep curiosity and exploration of potential waste materials, the designer has developed an alternative 'concrete' incorporating post–industrial wool remnants from textile and rug brands like Manteco and cc—tapis. The resulting material balances the rigidity of a porous stone with a uniquely soft and hairy tactility.
During 3daysofdesign, a custom table by Gabriella Mozo will be on view, displaying selected pieces by Orla Culligan Ceramics at MACA Museum Copenhagen. The wool bricks are made in collaboration with Manteco using fibres from their MWool® collection of recycled wool.
