Mixed with a certain unpredictability and constant play with lines, form, and color, and reflecting a colored and aesthetically passionate state of mind, Formel A aims to challenge our idea of aesthetics and influence our beliefs via simple geometries, in welcoming our homes as an expression of who we are. The dynamic of the Formel A identity was built by the talents of their design team of Danish architects and designers counting Amanda Lilholt, Eva Harlou, Sigurd Larsen, and Sofie Rueskov Sundby. They all share a passion in creating design with imminent possibilities in function and expression, connecting the imaginative and innovative with the practical in form and function.

During 3daysofdesign, Formel A will be launching MAGMA, a new sofa collection developed in collaboration with Danish furniture designer Amanda Lilholt. This marks Amanda Lilholt's third design collection with Formel A and will be exhibited at Formel A's flagship store throughout the festival. Moreover, 3daysofdesign also signifies the start of a long-term partnership between Formel A and Villa Copenhagen. The collaboration will commence on June 8th, allowing visitors to relax and experience Formel A's FRIDAY OUTDOOR collection, designed by Danish architect Eva Harlou, at various outdoor oases located within Villa Copenhagen.

The philosophy of Paper Paste Living is to create beautiful and functional home items in circular materials. The core material is a mixture of compressed recycled paper and water without any binders. The paper paste part of the objects are handcrafted in Spain, while all the wood and cardboard are sourced in the Czech Republic. With the Shape of Nature in mind, the products are carefully designed in Denmark by Hans Thyge & Co. The paper used arrived from a KM0 recovery plant near the over 100-year-old production facility just outside of Barcelona. Other materials besides paper are also used, like FSC-certified. For the pouf seat, Italian regenerated cotton in Ivory was used, and it gets its softness from the coconut fibres inside.

It all began in 2013 as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat.
