Rundetårn
Rundetårn (The Round Tower) is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe. The building was designed with its unusual spiral shaped path to allow horses and carts to transport heavy astronomical equipment. A short walk away is Israel Plads and Torvehallerne, perfect for food and sports lovers alike. The charming glass market halls of Torvehallerne are full of delicious treats offering both local and international delicacies. Adjacent to the food market is Israels Plads, formerly a military barracks before being developed into a public space in the late 20th century. Israel Plads is a popular space for people to enjoy the sun, skateboard, visit the occasional vintage market, and play basketball on courts made out of used Nike shoes. A perfect district to end your day’s activities and start your evening. Remember to pass by 3daysofdesign hub at hotel 25Hours while in the area.
